Help and hope for low-income families
Who We Are
FamilyForward is a charitable, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization governed by a volunteer board of directors and staffed by professionals knowledgeable in the areas of poverty, housing and social services. Our staff, volunteers and supporters are passionate about empowering low-income families to reach for their dreams, create stable households and a better life, and contribute to a stronger community in the process.
How We Help Families
The two main pillars of our two-year program are rent subsidy and mentoring. In addition to providing financial assistance, trained volunteer mentors guide parents as they develop the skills, confidence and financial footing they need to build a brighter future for their families. Additional support includes professional case management.
How Your Donations Help
Your donations enable struggling families to achieve a secure living situation through rent subsidies, assistance with expenses including child care and parental education, and other types of financial help. Donations of gift cards for food or gas, as well as pro bono services, are also very helpful as families struggle to meet basic needs.
