Why do you support FamilyForward? What about us “speaks” to you?
Gung Hay Fat Choy! February 1 marked the start of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger. While I may not be a Tiger (I’m a Dragon!), I hope to take on the characteristics of a tiger (bravery, confidence, charm) as I embark on my new journey as executive director of FamilyForward. Chuck Warner left big shoes to fill, and I will work hard to continue to build on the foundation he has laid.
As an active Arlington Heights resident for the past 15 years, I hope to build awareness of FamilyForward through connections I have developed over the years. I would like to broaden and further engage with our scope of donors, volunteers, board members and partners. As we continue to make a difference in families’ lives across the northwest suburbs, I am confident that the more people learn about the good work we are doing the more they will feel irresistibly compelled to get involved, particularly as our work impacts members of their own communities.
I would like to collect more stories and testimonials from all of YOU, our supporters. Why do you support FamilyForward? What about us “speaks” to you? It is because of YOU that we are able to do what we do. If you would like to share your story, please reach out to me at erica.chianelli@family-forward.org. Let’s meet for coffee or chat via Zoom. In an effort to get to know more about what makes us tick, I want to learn more about YOU!
While I have been here only a short time, I am already in awe at the level of commitment put forth by our mentors and other volunteers, and by the number of generous and dedicated donors who sustain this special organization we call FamilyForward. We are eternally grateful for your continued support. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this wonderful organization. Thank you!
