Select FamilyForward for AmazonSmile!

Do you shop on Amazon? Here's how to select FamilyForward for AmazonSmile.

We hope you will choose FamilyForward as your AmazonSmile charity. It is a simple, no-cost way to support our important work to help families every time you shop on Amazon. AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to FamilyForward!

Using Smile.Amazon.com on your computer

1. Visit smile.amazon.com to get started (see Figure 1, below).

2. Be sure to select the Arlington Heights FamilyForward.

3. Note that you must be logged in to smile.amazon.com when you do your shopping.

Using the Amazon Shopping app on your phone

If you shop Amazon using your phone (either iPhone or Android), please also be sure to activate AmazonSmile and your selection of FamilyForward on your Amazon Shopping app.

Note that the Amazon Shopping app is not available for tablets. To shop Amazon on your tablet, type smile.amazon.com into the browser.

Here’s how to activate AmazonSmile and select FamilyForward in the Amazon Shopping app:

1. Get the Amazon Shopping app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).

2. Join AmazonSmile. If you are not already an AmazonSmile member, you can sign up at smile.amazon.com and select FamilyForward. You can also do it on the app. Be sure to select the Arlington Heights FamilyForward.

3. Turn on AmazonSmile in your app.

   1. Open the app and tap the settings (☰) link in the main menu (at the bottom of your screen).

   2. Tap on “Gifting, Registry & Charity” (see Figure 2, below). Scroll through the options and tap on “AmazonSmile.”

   3. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone (see Figure 3, below).

   4. To change your charity to FamilyForward, tap on “change charity” (Figure 3) and then simply type “FamilyForward” into the Search bar (see Figure 4, below). Be sure to select the Arlington Heights FamilyForward.

Renewing your charity selection in the app

Your AmazonSmile selection of FamilyForward at smile.amazon.com (on your computer) will remain unless you decide to change it. However, please note that in the phone app, you will need to renew your AmazonSmile selection of FamilyForward twice a year. Here's how to check your current AmazonSmile status or know when the next renewal period in your app will be:

1. Open the Amazon Shopping app on your phone and tap on the settings (☰) link in the main menu.

2. Tap on “Gifting, Registry & Charity” (see Figure 2, above).

3. Scroll through the options and tap on “AmazonSmile” to see whether it’s turned ON (see Figure 5, below) and to view your renewal date (see Figure 6, below).
